Gruesome Green Toes

I have a confession to make. You know those little recipe books that you always see in the check out stand? They are usually themed – Halloween, Christmas, cookies, crockpot recipes. You know the ones. I am addicted to them. Yep, I said it out loud. I love them. I love looking through them and I always end up buying them. They rock. I have a TON of them. But the minute I start thinking “man, maybe I have too many of them” I see a super cool recipe in there and think “man, good thing I had this baby. I might have missed out.” So… justified. I keep buying them.

This recipe (can you call it that when there are so few ingredients?) came from one of the million Halloween ones I have. I can’t even remember which one it came from (crud.) They are Gruesome Green Toes. Heck, we did the mummys, we can’t forget about Frankenstein, right?!

The ingredients are simple:
* Nutter Butters
* Black Dots
* White chocolate
* Green food coloring

Simple so far, right?

Cut the Dots in half (these are the toe nails!)

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave and add some green food coloring.

Dip the Nutter Butters in the chocolate. Mine was a little too thick to dip so I just spread it over the cookies (all sides).

Add a toe nail and set on waxed paper to harden.

And there you have it… Gruesome Green Toes!
