Happy Mother’s Day and a Spa Experience

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms and Grandmothers out there! A day to celebrate you (uh, us, I guess.) How will your day be spent? Will your family make you breakfast in bed? Take you out to dinner? Send you a card in the mail or call you and say thank you?

We’ll be home doing what we normally do. My kids are still relatively young so they do little things for me. Heck, just a hug and a kiss makes my heart full. But The other day my kids did ask me if they could give me a pedicure and a manicure. I was a little nervous at first but figured it’s nothing permanent, right? So why not! If my kids want to paint my nails, have at it.

So I sat back and let them go to work….

My daughter wanted to paint my toes…

She changed her mind about the color a couple of times. She would paint them, take it off and paint them again.

Have you seen these before? I’m not sure where they were purchased but I got them for Christmas one year and they are so much fun. They are nail polish but they also have a small tipped applicator so you can do designs on your nails. My daughter loves it. We can do polka dots or stripes or whatever design we want.

This was her first masterpiece.

Then she decided to change it a little to this…

Stunning, right?

My son did my fingernails.

I think they are dazzling!

I’ll be the envy of all my co-workers on Monday, don’t you think?

However you spend your Mother’s Day, I hope it’s with those you love doing things that make your heart happy.

Happy Mother’s Day!
