Garlic Aioli Sauce

I’ve discovered a new love. It’s Garlic Aioli Sauce. Holy smokes. I could seriously eat this on everything. it has taken the place of Ranch for me (which I put on everything.) This is even better. Mind you, my breath smells absolutely horrible after I eat a cup of it on my french fries. But I don’t care!

I first had this dipping sauce when I went to Burgerville. Burgerville is a fast food restaurant out here in Oregon. I am so sorry for all of you who have never experienced Burgerville. It rocks. It’s a little more expensive than the other fast food places but it’s so much better. And they have things on their menu like Deep Fried Asparagus and Shitaki Mushroom Wedges (when they are in season.) That’s mainly what I go there for. I can eat mushroom wedges everyday!

I never dreamed it was so easy to make.

Ingredients
* 1 cup mayonnaise
* 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
* 3-4 garlic cloves (minced or pressed)

My kids loved squishing the garlic in the garlic press. I kind of lost track, though, of how many garlic cloves they were squishing. I think it was about 12 or 14 so we had to add a little more mayonnaise.

Mix everything together and viola! The best darn dipping sauce ever!

(The mushroom wedges in the picture are from
Burgerville. See what I mean when I say it rocks?!?!)

  3. I made an almost identical sauce, but the garlic is sauteed in a bit of olive oil and cooled before being added to the mayo and lemon juice. Seriously yummy.

  11. Hahahaha Erin I love your post!
    Allioli is a sauce typical of Mediterranean cuisine, such as Catalonia(spain)where I’m from :O) It’s formed by the emulsion of garlic (ALL in catalan) and (i) olive oil (OLI) like a mayonnaise. Funny :O)

  12. Oh we use it for BBQ. Perfect for lamb meat on the barbecue with a pinch of salt. For a baked potato.
    We accompany this meal with salad or roasted vegetables and tomato bread

  13. Sounds so good. 🙂 Following from Not Just a Housewife. Would love to have you link this up to my {wow me} wednesday link party going on right now over on my blog. The most view link will receive a set of fancy rectangle chalkboard labels from my etsy shop. Hope to see you there.
