Pocket Purse

The experts at Family Fun Magazine (my favorite if you haven’t figured that out yet) put out a craft book some time ago called Family Fun Crafts: 500 Creative Activities for You and Your Kids. Who couldn’t buy that with a name like that, right?

My daughter had been wanting to make these pocket purses for some time now so today we did. She loves purses!

You will need:
* the back pockets from an old pair of jeans
* needle and thread
* ribbon, yarn or old belt

Cut out the pocket. Make sure you cut around the seam and not through it.

Sew on a long piece of ribbon or robe for the handle. We made ours long because my daughter likes to wear her purses across her chest.

Embellish how ever you want! We were going to use fabric paint but she got a little too excited and say it was “good to go.” =o)
