[…] Soap Explosion – Making Memories with Your Kids […]
Normally by now I’ve posted a few Thanksgiving fun food recipes. Apparently I’m a little slow this year. I can’t believe this is our first (and only one!) But it is a fun one. How cute are these little guys? I thought my kids would have a great time making these. I bought all the […]
To continue our April Fools Day fun food extravaganza, we have a simple but fun one for you today – Peanut Butter Potstickers. They don’t totally look like potstickers, but my kids didn’t care. They loved them. And they were so simple to make. Thanks Party Pinching for this great idea. What you’ll need: * […]
We’re taking a little break from all of our holiday desserts to bring you a dinner idea. Crazy, right? Not so much if you know me. I just love making fun foods for my kids and with Easter coming up, I thought these Sloppy Joe Baskets would be fun to serve for dinner. They look […]
Yep, another Thanksgiving-ish recipe. I told you we were going to rock the Holidays! (If you missed that post, you can check it out here.) And after our delicious Pumpkin Spice Fudge, we needed a kid friendly crafty kind of dessert to make. Can you get any more kid friendly or crafty with these Turkey […]
We had so much fun making our Turkey Cookies with Nutter Butters that we wanted to make another Thanksgiving cookie. I think this one turned out much cuter than the other Turkey Cookies! I mean seriously, look at these little guys. too cute! I used the candy eyes which are my new favorite thing to […]
We have another fun and delicious Halloween treat for you today. Aren’t these little guys cute? I’m not sure what my favorite part of them is: the delicious white chocolate coating? Or the mouth watering Oreo Cream Cheese filling? Maybe it’s a tie. We found this recipe over on the The Recipe Critic PrintMummy Cookie […]
I had all these grand plans to do great things this Easter. Some of them got done but a lot of them are still in my “to do” pile. Crud. At 6am when I was getting ready to pack my kid’s lunch for school I remembered I wanted to pack their lunch a little differently. […]
I can’t believe it’s October 10th and this is only our first Halloween post. Eeeee gads! I’m behind! I need to get my behind in gear and Halloween it up. So, to kick off one of the greatest Holidays known to man…. here are our Sugar Wafer Monsters. If you haven’t checked out Sugar Swings! […]

Looks like a blast! Will have to give it a try. Happy Healthy New Year!
Okay I read this and ran right downstairs where I had some ivory soap stashed for another project. We cut a sliver and popped it right in the microwave. Wow, Super cool!! The kids want to keep doing it. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
that is the bees knees!
Oh awesome So have to do this!
Off to Pin it so I don’t forget it!
I’m kind of a rebel, so I’m totally doing a whole bar. I will let you know how it turns out. Although we just had to replace our microwave, so my husband might not like this plan. The kids are gonna love this.
We totally had to too!!! It didn’t fill the whole thing.
Wow! That sounds incredible! I think I’ll have to try it! It might be fun to put it in a container and let it “fluff” into new shapes. Hmmm….
Happy New Year!

I’m not sure if it would be a good idea for me to show my boys this activity…it sounds like so much fun, but I’m afraid they might get ideas about microwaving everything to see what happens! (Boys! At what age exactly does the brain kick in?)
Thanks for sharing at Shindig Saturday. We might have to try this for a Snow Day sometime. Then when it gets out of hand, I’ll just send them outside for a brain freeze!

Went to the store for some Ivory and just got done microwaving it. So neat! My nephews will enjoy this. Thanks!
Will it work with any soap or does it have to be Ivory? JW, thanks!
Looks so much fun! Just shared it on our Fun Finds Friday… http://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.blogspot.com/2012/01/fun-finds-friday_20.html
Hi! I found your blog via The Weekly Round-up at It’s a Blog Party! This is definitely the sorta thing I love to see… creative, frugal, fun and no mess! Great post, you’ve got a new fan!
.
Has to be ivory 🙂 We tried it with some white soap that I didn’t have the packaging for and it smoked up the kitchen. My bad!
This blog also has a recipe to make the leftover microwaved ivory into fluffy bath paints. In case you’re super cheap like me.

I’m sure there are other versions too.
