What do you think of Twinkies? I think people either love them or hate them. I love them. I’m not sure why. If I think about it too long I start to question my love of spongy yellow cake and frosting. So I don’t think about it for too long =o) For awhile, years ago, […]
I’m beginning to get a little tired of the rain around here. It’s May for heaven’s sake and it’s pouring outside. I want summer! I want to be able to open up my windows and smell the fresh air. I want to wear sandals and capris and not feel like I’m frozen. I want to […]
My daughter’s pre-school class has been learning Japanese all year. It’s so cool to hear her speak and she is so proud when she comes home and tells me the new words she has learned. At the school’s Spring Fling Bar-B-Que her class sang “Jesus Loves Me” in Japanese! In Japanese!!! She’s 5 years old! […]
You’re going to think this is either gross or totally cool. Or maybe a little bit of both. Either way, it’s perfect for Halloween! And my kids thought it was totally grossly cool! Sloppy Joe Intestines! Or maybe it’s Sloppy Joe Colon. But that sounds too gross, even for me. I found the idea here […]
This is my attempt at making a Thanksgiving cookie. I was planning on making all kinds of cute little turkey cookies but instead I decided to throw myself down the stairs and mess up my ankle. I know. Turkey cookies or the emergency room? Is it a tough choice? Apparently it was for me. I […]
I love Halloween! Have I mentioned that? Yep, love it! And how could I not when this is what decorates my kitchen? Cool, right?! Dirty Q-Tips! Ha! I saw these over on Pinterest too. Along with the Bloody Band-Aid Cookies that we made. It originally came from Katherine Marie Photography. Super simple but the […]
I remember making this years and years ago for a friend’s children. It was pretty cool (I thought) so my kids and I thought we would make it again for some friends. It’s super easy and it’s fun to do! What you will need: * any kind of clear bowl. We used a fish bowl […]
The aliens are coming! The aliens are coming! I told you that I was going to make dinner time more fun and exciting. How fun is this idea?!?! My kids loved it! This idea came from the cookbook Just For Kids Collection. (If you missed my Octo-Dog post you MUST check it out here!) Here’s […]

We usually celebrate “Dr. Seuss Day”, but it is pretty low key. I dress my girls in their Dr. Seuss shirts (Horton Hears a Who for Lena and One Fish Two Fish for Eva), I print out some coloring pages, we read all of our Dr. Seuss books (which is a lot!), and I made green eggs and ham for dinner. Trying Martha Stewart’s Green Eggs and Ham Omelets this year.
What a fun roundup! I love those babies!
So much fun! Thanks for sharing all these great ideas!
Did you see the stack of red and white pancakes made to look like the hat. FUN! I hope you find time for a project or two tomorrow!
