Is there anything better than a delicious, chewy, flavorful cookie? I don’t think so. And the one thing I noticed in all the comments on the Cookie Swap and Giveaway we did, chocolate chip cookies seem to still be everyone’s favorite cookie. How can you go wrong?!?! (well, there’s lot of ways to totally mess up a simple cookie. Believe me.) But there’s something classic about chocolate chip cookies.
Have you seen a chocolate chip cookie that looked like these before?
When I first opened the box of Bart’s Cookies I thought “what the heck? They’re like cookie nuggets, not cookie cookies.” I’m not totally sure of the thinking behind a cookie being shaped like this but this is what I think. “Regular flat” cookies dry out quickly. And who loves a dry cookie? Surely not me. By making the cookies thicker they stay fresher longer. And man, were they fresh and delicious!
I’d like to think I’m a tough judge when it comes to sweets. I love them and have a ginormous sweet tooth, but I’m not going to waste the calories on something that is mediocre. There are too many mediocre desserts out there. I want something that is wonderful. A dessert that leaves me thinking “man, that was awesome!” Bart’s Cookies did just this.
They are delicious!
Bart’s claim to fame is his chocolate chip cookie. So you won’t find him wasting his time with a ton of other flavors, diverting from the classic favorite. But he does have some variations so there’s something for everyone.
I am a huge milk chocolate fan so I was so happy to find out that Bart has milk chocolate chip cookies as well as dark chocolate chip cookies. I thought they were wonderful. I was sent a half dozen of the milk chocolate chip cookies and I’m a little embarrassed to say I ate all 6 when I got home from work. They were that good!
I was also able to try a half dozen of Bart’s Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies and they were great too. I love peanut butter cookies! They had a subtle peanut butter taste and came with peanuts in them. I’m not a huge fan of nuts in my cookies but they were good. The cookies were moist and flavorful and yes, I ate all of these too. =o)
