Cinnamon Twists

I got this recipe from my friend Tammy.  She’s constantly sending me recipes or links to amazing treats.  She knows me so well because every recipe that she tells me about is absolutely something I would make.  This was one of them.  And she was absolutely right when she said these were easy and totally delicious!
Cinnamon Twists
 Ingredients:

2 cups flour

4 tsp. baking powder
5 tsp. butter, softened
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup cinnamon and sugar mixture
Combine first four ingredients and mix well.  Kneed a few times on a lightly floured surface (flour your hands too).
Roll into a 12’x15′ rectangle.
Spread completely with softened butter.   Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.  (Add more if you would like.)
Fold in half and cut into strips (about 1 1/2 inches wide)
Twist each strip and place on a silpat or parchament lined sheet.

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 – 15 minutes (when lightly browned and set.)
And because I can’t leave well enough alone, I made a powdered sugar, milk glaze and poured it over the top.
My kids had friends over for an overnight and they all gobbled these up.  They were so easy to make and tasted delicious!
