I’m beginning to get a little tired of the rain around here. It’s May for heaven’s sake and it’s pouring outside. I want summer! I want to be able to open up my windows and smell the fresh air. I want to wear sandals and capris and not feel like I’m frozen. I want to […]
I mentioned in my last post for our Faux Deviled Eggs that I love April Fools Day and all the fun food ideas. Well, here’s another super cute idea. How about making a Chicken Not Pie for dinner for your kids. Did you catch that? Chicken Not Pie. I know, clever right? (Or were you […]
It’s no secret that I love fun food. I love making it. I love serving it to my kids. It makes me smile. So this was right up my alley. And it’s kind of Halloween-y, right? Kind of? This recipe came out of the cookbook Simple 1-2-3 Cooking for Kids. Ingredients: * Jumbo past shells […]
I pinned this recipe quite some time ago and put it into my “Fun Food Ideas” board. I mean, seriously, of course I was going to make it. They are adorable! And with the movie Turbo coming out, I figured it was the perfect time to surprise my kids. My son wants to see Turbo badly. […]
I’ve decided I love my food markers. I mean seriously. Who ever came up with that idea is a genius. Because we’re having so much fun with them. Who wouldn’t love a cup of this hot chocolate in the morning?! My kids thought it was great. They thought I bought the marshmallows like this. […]
I have a little thing about vampires. I was about to write “I’m embarrassed to say” but I’m not. What the heck. I’m obsessed. I said it. Seriously, I am. It all started with the Twilight books and has gone a little out of control since. =o) If you need to know a good book […]
My Mom called me the other day and asked if I would bring a fruit tray to the family gathering we were having. To me, this was an open invitation for some fruit creativity. I mean, I could have just sliced up some fruit and plopped it on a plate. But really??? That’s not how […]
We’re taking a little break from all of our holiday desserts to bring you a dinner idea. Crazy, right? Not so much if you know me. I just love making fun foods for my kids and with Easter coming up, I thought these Sloppy Joe Baskets would be fun to serve for dinner. They look […]

This is a clever idea! The candy boxes make the ideal basket! I’m glad you said you used a hot glue gun to hold it up. I wouldn’t expect anything else to maintain a strong enough bond to keep everything in place so that the weight of the candy or filling won’t break the basket.
Thanks for sharing! This is definitely an idea to keep for Easters to come.
this is a great idea thanks for the idea i was wondering what to get her teacher
I made these goodie boxes for my daughter and her roommate at college for Valentine’s Day! Filled them with gum, nail polish, fluffy socks, gummies, chapstick, etc. They just got it and they just called to tell me how much they love it. 🙂
