I mentioned in my last post for our Faux Deviled Eggs that I love April Fools Day and all the fun food ideas. Well, here’s another super cute idea. How about making a Chicken Not Pie for dinner for your kids. Did you catch that? Chicken Not Pie.  I know, clever right? (Or were you […]
I’m always on the search for fun foods to make for me… I mean my kids. Ah heck, who am I foolin’. I’d make these adorable scooter snacks even if I didn’t have kids. They are so cute. And all the ingredients that I love! Adorable, right? I found this in the August 2010 edition […]
Owls and Halloween. Who ever decided these two things go together?  Well, if you google it (which, of course, we did) it goes way back. Like, way, way back. According to Haunted Bay, the Romans were one of the first cultures that viewed owls as spooky creatures. The owl symbolized death, doom, or destruction and […]
Do your kids watch iCarly on Nickelodeon? My kids love it. One of the things that Spencer (one of the characters) makes is spaghetti tacos. My kids have been asking me to make them for some time but I just never did. They didn’t sound all that appetizing to me. Spaghetti in a taco shell? […]
Have you ever seen these things? They are egg molds? Egg what??? Egg molds! I saw them awhile ago and have been wanting to get them to try them out and here they are. Pretty cool looking aren’t they? You’re probably wondering why in the world anyone would want these things though, right? Well, I […]
I’ve decided that I’m a little bored with cooking. I make the same basic things for dinners and I’m getting tired of it. Dinner should be fun, right? So that’s our new theme for the summer. Fun food! So we bought a couple of fun kid’s cookbooks. This is the first thing we made – […]
I’m not much of a prankster. It’s not that I don’t think they’re funny. I just don’t do them. Well, not a lot at least =o) So for me, April Fools Day isn’t really a big deal. But it’s like I said in my St. Patrick’s Day post, “now that I’m a Mom I have […]
I can’t believe it’s October 10th and this is only our first Halloween post. Eeeee gads! I’m behind! I need to get my behind in gear and Halloween it up. So, to kick off one of the greatest Holidays known to man…. here are our Sugar Wafer Monsters. If you haven’t checked out Sugar Swings! […]

I tried a recipe like this one on Christmas Eve and it was a disaster. I ended up going with the ranch seasoned recipe and it came out much better. I may try this one next. Merry Christmas!
Yummy!! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

My daughter always requests this for New Year’s Eve. I only make it once or twice a year because it’s my favorite and I’ll eat the whole thing! I had to laugh, because we never put wheat Chex in either… I also leave out pretzels, not my personal favorite. But the Cheez Its and Cheetos… that’s something new! Can’t wait to try it.
Yum, your mix was delish, Erin. I hope you didn’t see me picking out the cashews. You seasoned it perfectly.
What a great idea! We have all this snacks here in Brazil, but I’ve never eatten them like these! Look soooooo yummy!!!
Tell me when you make the brazilian fudge! I’ll love to see your pictures in Brazil!
Have a great 2011!!!
I love the “boogie pudding” song. How cute. Love the changes you made to the mix. I could eat a whole batch by myself. Now I need to run to the store.
What a funny story. It makes me miss having little ones!
Haha, boogie pudding! That’s cute! This chex mix looks delish.
I am such a cashew freak, I would have a hard time staying away from a bowl of that chex mix!
I love Chex Mix! That is too cute about the “boogie pudding” – kids are the best. 🙂
I will have to try this. Looks yummy!! 🙂
I love this recipe and the changes you made to the Chex Mix are awesome! I will be making it very soon since I always send some home with everyone on Thanksgiving Day! Thanks for sharing!
