My Lazy Daisy Review

My Lazy Daisy was launched in 2011 by two sisters, Dana Brooks and Diane Card.  Dana owned and operated Lazy Daisy Cottage (a quilt store) in St. George, Utah and it was such a huge success that she wanted to do more.  But what?   Lazy Daisy Cottage was more than just a quilt shop.  It was a place for people to come and visit and sew and socialize.  So how does one recreate such a huge success?  It was a struggle until Diane had an “aha” moment one day.  She wanted to create a business opportunity where, through the comfort of one’s own home, building upon new and existing friendships that can be created through quilting, people can meet, touch each other’s lives and build their own quilting legacy.

Lazy Daisy sells quilt kits, sewing products and notions.  Quilt kits contain all the necessary parts (pattern and instructions, binding, backing, batting, etc.) to make a finished product.  Kits are perfect in so many ways: no fabric overage, no wasted time matching fabrics and running around to find the right colors, and you are able to see the finished quilt before you make it.  How cool is that?!

Lazy Daisy uses only top quality fabrics and are in the process now of printing their own fabric.  All kis are handcut and beautifully packaged.

To see their online catalog click here.  You will be amazed! Some of my favorites are:

And they have more that just quilt kits.  There are also pillow case dresses which are so cute!

And hair bow kits.  We received one of these kits and my daughter LOVED it!

But here’s the best party of My Lazy Daisy and the main idea behind the company.  Remember when I said “to create a business opportunity in the comfort of your own home”?  My Lazy Daisy is a direct sales company (similar to Pampered Chef and Scentsy), focused on exclusive and complete quilt kids and sewing projects, sold by independent consultants (that’s you!)  For the low price of $99 (plus tax), you can sign up as a Daisy consultant and receive the marketing and sales tools needed to launch your own quilting business.  Check out My Lazy Daisy Consultants for commission structure and detailed information on how to become a consultant.

Amelia (one of the consultants) has a fun blog you can check out with tutorials.  Or you can check out her website here.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
