I Heart You Pound Cake
(since our first attempt with the bigger hearts was a totally fail.)
I haven’t done a single thing for the 4th of July =o( Where have I been??? We typically don’t do much for the 4th, though. It’s always been one of those holidays where I’m frustrated because of all the loud noises that keep waking my kids up! Does that make me grouchy? =o( But a […]
My son wanted a Nerf birthday party. Do you know how hard it is to find Nerf party things out there??? It’s darn near impossible. Tiffanee over at One Crazy Cookie made our Nerf Birthday Party Invitations which were a giant hit! I don’t know how she does it but she is a computer […]
I love Halloween! Have I mentioned that? Yep, love it! And how could I not when this is what decorates my kitchen? Cool, right?! Dirty Q-Tips! Ha! I saw these over on Pinterest too. Along with the Bloody Band-Aid Cookies that we made. It originally came from Katherine Marie Photography. Super simple but the […]
I was feeling pretty guilty about my lack of party creativity for my daughter. The necklaces were pretty cute and I knew the girls would think they were fun but I was feeling bad for the boys. Plus I have this whole over-acheiver thing that I deal with. I have a hard time settling for […]
Our last Halloween post for the season (sniff, sniff) is a simple but fun one – Mummy Pretzels! Cute, right?!?! We found two different versions on the internet, here and here – both adorable. The girls loved making them. I’m pretty sure they ate about 20 eyes a piece before I realized where they all went. […]
It’s no secret that I love fun food. I love making it. I love serving it to my kids. It makes me smile. So this was right up my alley. And it’s kind of Halloween-y, right? Kind of? This recipe came out of the cookbook Simple 1-2-3 Cooking for Kids. Ingredients: * Jumbo past shells […]
Did you read the title and think “what the heck?” If you did, you’re not alone. When I first heard of roasting Starburst candies over the campfire I was pretty skeptical. Number one, there’s no chocolate so that usually rules me out. And number two, what the heck? How would that even work??? But when […]
I saw this “recipe” in the Family Fun magazine while at the Doctor’s office and thought I’d give it a try. Anything to make dinner time fun, right? My kids LOVED it! And it was easy to make. I took hot dogs and cut them into 4 pieces. Then I took raw spaghetti noodles and […]

This is so cute. I’m trying it today but using strawberry cake and banana bread. Did you have an issue with the hearts floating? Mine kept wanting to float to the top. It’s in the oven now and not to sure how it will turn out.
Thank you again
