I have a 7 year old daughter. That right there should tell you (if you have a daughter) that chap stick and lip gloss is something abundant in my house! Actually, abundant doesn’t even cover it. Let’s have a look at my daughters “chap stick organizer”.
I know, right?! She loves the stuff. So, of course, I had to see if we could make it.
My daughter LOVED it!
Here they are in our new containers and with all the Kool Aid flavors I could find!
Great post, Erin. Ellie is the chapstick queen to be sure. Love the little jars to put the goo in. And what great presents these make for her little girlie friends.
So funny, I actually follow meet the dubiens too!
I found the screw top cups at The Container Store. If you don’t have one near you I’m sure they have a website to order from, if you ever make more in the future.
oh that is so fun, perfect for a birthday party.
GENIUS for a mom of two girls and a lot of $$ spent on chap stick tubes only to lose them a day later.
Hey Erin,
Loved these, so fun. We made some with non alcoholic vanilla 🙂

well how awesome is this! love it.
I made these with my daughters a while back… I found the screw top clear containers at Michaels in the bead section. They came in a big flat rectangle container, I think there was 24 in the set.
This is a fabulous idea and cute stocking stuffers (I’m thinking way ahead). Thanks so much for sharing. I found you on Thrifty101 and I’m now following; would appreciate if you could follow back. Tx
Too fun! I need a chapstick organizer. When I’ve made this with my girls’ book club, we used pink lemonade and shortening. Lip-smacking good.
I really loved this craft! I will have to try this sometime. Does the lip gloss come out colored on the lips or not?
That is amazing and your little model is perfect! 🙂
I too am obsessed with lip gloss but I must confess I am slightly older than your daughter, lol! But these are great. I can’t wait to try!

I love a good lip gloss and this is perfect excuse to experiment on some of my own. I would love it if you would share it on my linky party Tout It Tuesday! http://www.claimingourspace.com/2012/05/tout-it-tuesday-7.html
What a great idea! I have a feeling you’ve got the beginnings of a make up junkie on your hands. *smile* Maybe she can come give me some make up tips in a few years. Looks like she had a lot of fun making and using her homemade lip balm. Thanks for sharing this idea at Your Cozy Home Party!
Congrats! This post was the #4 most clicked link last week on Mommy Solutions! Thank you so much for sharing it and linking it up. The new linky is live. I can’t wait to see what you link up, next!

What a great project for girls. I bet it smells good too. Your adorable daughter looks like she’s very happy with the results. 🙂
What fun!! I love it! Thank you for sharing at Sharing Saturday! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
My 10 year old has just about as many as your daughter!!! This looks like the perfect craft for her and I to make for favors for her bday party!! Now I just need to start searching for some little containers!!!
