Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Celebration

I had all these great plans this year to make some things for Dr. Seuss’s birthday.  Oh yeah.  We were going to make some cookies and snacks and maybe a craft or two.  Then what happened???  No really, I’m asking… what happened???  Now it’s the day before and we’ve done nothing.  Crud.  But we still wanted to celebrate.  So if we had more time… this is what we would do.  (You know, if I were super talented, had lots of money and lots of free time…)
So join us in celebrating Dr. Seuss!
Playing With Pixie Dust did this great activity.  Cute, right???
In my dreams I would be able to make a cake like this!  I can always dream, though, right?
Aren’t these cookies adorable?  I wish I could make cookies these amazing!
Sweetie’s Bakeshop made these cute ones!
Love these from Fancy Frugal Life.
I’m speechless…. from One Sweet Treat!
Simple Girl made these adorable One Fish, Two Fish snacks!
I love these healthy Cat in the Hat snacks from Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons.
Another great Cat in the Hat Pop from Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons.
I have a thing for cake pops!  And these Thing 1 and 2 cake pops?  Adorable!

I don’t even know what to say about these Horton Hatches the Edd Pops!  Awesome!

And Sugar Swings! Serve Some rocked the Dr. Seuss Peeps Pops!
Tasty Kitchen made these cute cupcakes.

I think these cupcakes from Cupcakes Take the Cake are awesome!

This idea is just so stinkin’ cute!  Blue popcorn with red gummy fish!  How cute would this be?!?!
I absolutely love these Grinch Cupcakes from Sugar Swings! Serve Some.
I love these Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes from Good Life Eats.
I guess I can’t have all desserts and sweets here.  So here’s a Cat in the Hat pizza idea!

How fun would this be to serve your kids for breakfast?!?!  Kristie’s Notes had the right idea!

Sheesh!  You’d think I was all about food =o)
I just love fun shoes.  And who wouldn’t love these from Converse?

This just makes me laugh out loud!  Thanks Rook No. 17 for giving me a chuckle!

  1. We usually celebrate “Dr. Seuss Day”, but it is pretty low key. I dress my girls in their Dr. Seuss shirts (Horton Hears a Who for Lena and One Fish Two Fish for Eva), I print out some coloring pages, we read all of our Dr. Seuss books (which is a lot!), and I made green eggs and ham for dinner. Trying Martha Stewart’s Green Eggs and Ham Omelets this year.
