Do they look like hot dogs? Of course they do. But are they? Well, sort of. They’re hot dogs, but not the kind you eat for lunch. You eat these hot dogs for dessert! I found the recipe for these over on The Seven Year Cottage. I changed it up just a little bit. They used […]
I love that I found these over on Mom Endeavors. I knew immediately that this was a Halloween snack we had to make. Super easy which means little helpers can do this one all on their own! What you’ll need: * stick pretzels * white melting chocolate * raisins * milk chocolate melting chocolate Arrange […]
I have decided that April Fools Day is one of my favorite holidays. Sounds a little strange maybe but fun food and me? Yep, we go together like peanut butter and jelly. And April Fools Day screams fun food. So what do you think about our Deviled Eggs? Who doesn’t love deviled eggs, right? Oh […]
We made cookies like this years ago and I remember my kids loved it. It’s like playing with play doh but the end result isn’t cleaning everything up and putting it away. The end result here is eating them! What kid (or adult) wouldn’t be pleased with that outcome? The kids had so much fun […]
I’m not much of a prankster. It’s not that I don’t think they’re funny. I just don’t do them. Well, not a lot at least =o) So for me, April Fools Day isn’t really a big deal. But it’s like I said in my St. Patrick’s Day post, “now that I’m a Mom I have […]
A friend of mine at work bought this amazingly awesome ice cube tray mold for me. I thought it was a giant compliment when she said “I saw this and thought of you.” Seriously! How cool is that! I love it when people see weird but extremely cool things and actually think of me. What […]
Our last Halloween post for the season (sniff, sniff) is a simple but fun one – Mummy Pretzels! Cute, right?!?! We found two different versions on the internet, here and here – both adorable. The girls loved making them. I’m pretty sure they ate about 20 eyes a piece before I realized where they all went. […]
For Halloween do you do silly fun or gory? We always do silly fun but I do like a little bit of the gross. So when I saw these cupcakes over on Pinterest (my new love) from Cakehead Loves Evil I knew we had to make them. Totally cool, right?!?! We made stained glass candy […]

Omgosh, I can’t believe that Cathy is your mom! I just left a comment on your Sopapilla Cheesecake bars the other day, not even realizing the connection. Gosh, no matter how vast, the blogging world is still small 🙂
And I absolutely LOVED your mom’s Danish Puff. It was gone in no time flat and I’m thinking about making it to bring to my parents house this weekend!
What wonderful idea! I am going to take it a step further. My daughter is in West Virginia attending graduate school. She has been pretty homesick. I think we will make Seattle bottles! I also think it will be a fun surprise to send friends far away.
Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful ideas.
