The best part of a German Chocolate cake? Oh sure, the cake part is delicious. But the frosting? I could eat it with a spoon! I love it. Well, minus the pecans. I don’t want them in there. But the rest of it? Yes, please. So what would happen if you took German Chocolate Cake frosting and filled chocolate bunnies with it? Well, this is what happens.
I used my Mom’s recipe for the frosting. She brought me some German Chocolate Cake Sandwich Cookies awhile back and they were delicious! So, why reinvent the wheel, right?
I used a fun Peeps mold that I found and lined the molds with melted milk chocolate. After it hardened I scooped in some of the German Chocolate Cake Frosting and then piped some more melted chocolate over the filling.
And there you have it… German Chocolate Stuffed Bunnies.
